[NMLUG] Re: legal music downloads?



	The only way to legally download music is 1) you already own the CDs or 2) 
you pay for the music as you download it.  The idea of copyright is that you 
do not obtain something you do not legally own (i.e. have paid for).  
Therefore, p2p music sharing is not legal, but downloading from iTunes / 
Napster is, because you are paying that company, which in turn pays those who 
own the copyrights.
	Therefore, I'm thinking iTunes or Napster.  However, if you want a higher 
bitrate than they offer, you might as well buy the CDs and rip the oggs 
yourself.
