I have a Mastercard through CitiBank and they offer these disposable numbers.
 I just go to their website and log in.  From there, I can generate a number
to give to merchants.  By default, the number is valid for one month but you
can manually cancel it any time.  I generated a number, gave it to allofmp3,
and after they charged me, I cancelled the number.  I feel fairly safe doing
this (much more than using Paypal).  If they are sketchy and decide to charge
me more later on, the number won't work.  And if they take my money but don't
give me anything in return, well, it was only $10.

I've seen many other CC companies offer this service.  I believe Discover does
as well.  Visa probably does too, but I haven't checked.  It might be
something up to the individual banks to implement.
